People like to buy from people. I have known this for a while now, but lately I have really noticed it in action. For example, look at the best selling services on Legiit.
4 of those five have pictures of the freelancer as their avatar.
3 of 5 have a picture of the person in the thumbnail.
Further I did 2 consulting calls today (which i really enjoy btw, sign up for one some time) and in both cases they asked me about me and my background or said they’d followed my career etc…
Copywriters have shown time and again that an origin story is one of the most powerful things you can use to get people to know, like, and trust you in order to buy from you. I know not everyone is comfortable talking about themselves, or getting their face out there, or being on camera and so on… but you are really handicapping your success if you don’t. You may think your story is boring… but its not. I can spin literally anyone’s background into something interesting, and you should be able to also. Find a way to make yourself likable (or an “attractive character” as Russell Brunson calls it) tell your story, make yourself into the brand, and watch your Profiits skyrocket. I also think this could be a service someone could sell. Talk to someone, learn their origin story and background, and write their attractive character for them.
