Good Evening,
As most of you know I am doing a webinar promotion this week for an SEO tool called SurferSEO. If you remember from the promotion timeline that I sent in a dispatch earlier this week that on Wednesday of promotion week one of the things I do is on Wednesday of promotion week I promote in Facebook groups.
Today I decided to do that a little differently. Instead of writing a whole second long post with a whole new piece of copy (which can be exhausting to write for the same topic in such a short span of time) I took a different approach. This is the post if you want to check it out.
So what I did, to help promote the tool, get more webinar registrations, and give some value was offer a free report from it to people that commented. Every time someone would comment it would make the post show up more frequently in a newsfeed and in the group. I would run the report, then reply to their comment with a link to it, thus bumping it again. I included the link to register a few times in the comments thus bumping it again as well. I had to limit to 15 to keep from running out of credits in the software or else I would have kept going. This created a semi viral effect, made people anxious to get the tool, built some good will, and got to sign up for the webinar. The result was an extra 100 registrations; all by leveraging the community, giving people something valuable, then asking them to do something.
So there are a few takeaways here.
- Build a community/audience
- Learn how to work the traffic channel you choose to your advantage.
- Be kind to people and give them something that helps them and don’t expect something in return, even if you get it.
This stuff is super powerful and if you do it right it can change your life, and more importantly help you change other people’s lives.
Best,
CMW
