Good Evening!
Sometimes the smallest things mean the most to people.
For example this morning we fixed a bug on Legiit that had been there for a while.
It wasn’t anything major but it had been reported a few times.
We got it fixed, and I personally went in and found every ticket we’d gotten about it, some several months old, and updated everyone.
The response I got from several of them was… humbling.
They were so excited, and flattered that we took the time to fix it, and update them.
Another example… many of you know Scott Allen from Superstar SEO Academy.
I met him when he order a Syndwire blast from me several years ago.
He sent me the wrong URL or something and asked if I could fix it.
I did… so he sent me a piece of original artwork that I still have.
We got to be friends and have done a lot of business together.
Sometimes, as our companies grow we tend to think some problems are too small for our time; and while it is true that we have to prioritize… you should never ignore even a small problem, you never know how much people will appreciate it.
This can apply outside of business too.
I used to work as a political operative and I remember once when we were doing canvassing in a neighborhood there was one older lady that said she’d lived there for 30 years and that no one had ever come to their neighborhood before to find out what what was important to them, and just the fact that we took the time to come to the neighborhood was enough to get them to vote for our candidate.
Sometimes I will send a text message to my mother just to tell her to have a good day because I know she appreciates it.
So the point I am making is… in business (or life) never ignore the small things, they may seem like a nuisance, but they can have some big impact down the road… and even if they don’t it can make someone’s day a little bit brighter.
And that’s something the world could use just a little bit more of.
I hope you all have a great evening.
Talk to you tomorrow.
Best,
CMW
