This morning I met with the owner of a popular SEO tool that I am going to be doing a promotion for soon (and will get you guys a discount on!).
He’s wanted to work together with me for a while and I have been meaning to work out something with him and we finally did.
The reason he wanted to collaborate is two-fold; because he liked the content of mine he found on YouTube (how many times have I harped on the importance of making content?) and because I have a pretty large audience in the SEO space that would be interested in the tool he owns.
Building an audience, even a small one, and giving them free value, with the occasional promotion can dramatically increase your income, for very little work on the back end.
I am not an affiliate marketer, or at least do not think of myself as one.
But in the last year I have done all of 3 full out affiliate promotions
- Scopeleads
- RepAi
- Local Viking
(The upcoming one will be the 4th)
The work I did amounted to maybe a dozen emails, a couple of retargeting ads, and 10 like Facebook posts…
and between them I added around 25k MRR by just telling people about a product that I already believed in.
This is powerful stuff… and its something everyone can do.
I know someone that owns a JVZoo video editing product that in my opinion… is not good… has a list of about 600 people… making 100k+ a month Profiit from it.
Another example. A friend of mine that collected 80 email addresses from Konker customers back in the day, would send a weekly email with a few deals and added another $300 a week in Profiit from it.
But for whatever reason a lot of people in the internet marketing space, particularly SEOs just do not want to do this kind of marketing.
This is probably my favorite kind of marketing, and it is the easiest way to make some passive income.
There is nothing at all stopping you, except you.
Spend a half hour a day making a video, writing a blog post, or collecting some email addresses.
You can do literally all of that for free… build an audience and just give them value and offers.
Even if you don’t want to do affiliate offers and you just want to run an agency style business… collect some email addresses from local businesses and occasionally send them case studies or other valuable information, then send them easy offers like website maintenance, or ADA Compliance.
Every little bit helps bump up your income, helps your customers, and makes the world a better place for everyone.
Don’t sleep on this. Get out there and make yourself some Profiit.
