Go play in traffic!

Go play in traffic!

Good afternoon!

We usually talk tactics on Friday but this being a holiday week I thought it best to do it today. A lot of people that are reading this have an SEO background… which makes them thing in ways to manipulate the Google algorithm.

But today I want to talk about other algorithms, why they are important, how to manipulate them, and why you should care.

YouTube: Youtube is the second biggest search engine on the internet, and is the second or third most used website… that means tons of traffic available to you. With Youtube you don’t just want to think about its search engine… you also want to show up in a few different places, mostly suggested videos.

In fact THAT is where the bulk of your internal traffic on YouTube comes from. YouTube is a momentum based platform. Meaning that if you aren’t consistently putting out content, YouTube will stop suggesting you, and the traffic will stop.

So the main things you want to do to scoop up that sweet YouTube traffic (and you 100% should… its one of the best assets you can ever have) are:

Put out videos frequently. Put out videos consistently (these two work together… put out videos as frequently as you can but on a regular schedule… daily, twice a week, 3x a week… whatever you can handle).

Write titles in this format [Keyword] | [Clickbait] the clickbait shouldn’t be TOO Buzzfeed though, it still needs to reflect what is in the video.

Make thumbnails that build curiosity and make someone want to click. Make videos that are at least 8 minutes long… watch time is more important than views.

Make stuff that people want to see I could dive deeper into each of those points but that is a great overview. Don’t sleep on Youtube.

Go play in traffic!

Facebook: Talking about pages and groups here. To get that kind of traffic you MAY need to kick it off with some ad spend, but either way you should do the following:
-Post memes that are relevant to the page or group
-Post high quality blog posts that help the audience… doesn’t have to be your content
-Polls… people love their opinions… so polls get great engagement
-Trending topics… find stuff going on in the industry or even the news at large to get people talking Facebook live…

Facebook loves these and it gives you great retargetting audience later Cpation This/Questions… stuff to get people to respond. Do this EVERY SINGLE DAY and over time your organic reach will explode, give you tons of advantages with your ads, and chances to reach your audience

Instagram: Never been able to crack this one myself… at least not in a way that I think is beneficial.

Pinterest: Best kept traffic secret on the internet. People are very visual and Pinterest traffic is great for exploiting that. Some tips are Optimize your boards and pins like you would a blog post (Keyword in title, description etc…)

Post regularly, daily if possible. Find group boards, follow their rules, but take advantage of their traffic. Find what kind of content best fits your niche… motivational etc… then tie it back to your brand and offer.

This works great for eCom but can work in most niches. Those are the main ones I use. There is other stuff like Twitter etc… but other than POTUS I don’t know anyone that successfully drives traffic with it (though it does have its other uses). I also started playing with TikTok recently. We will see how that goes. That’s what I have for you today.

If you have any questions, any traffic hacks of your own, or know how to make IG work let me know in the Profiit Academy Daily Facebook Group.

Talk to you tomorrow.

Best,
CMW
